Many kids with ADHD are evaluated and treated by primary care doctors, including pediatricians and family practitioners, but may be referred to specialists like psychiatrists, psychologists, or neurologists. (Hasan, 2014, p. 3) to be considered of having ADHD a child must display behaviours from one other the subtypes mentioned earlier, the behaviours must occur for longer then 6 months and the behaviours must be affecting at least two areas of a childs life those being friendships and school ect. A doctor will also check a few things to rule out any possability of the problem being anther medical condition, parents and other significant adult figurs in a childs life will undergo questioning
