Dealing with the right to bear arms and Second Amendment issues have recently become a point of interest for many, especially those in politics. Issues such as this are very complex, with conclusions varying greatly; even the Supreme Court has gone back and forth on different cases debating whether or not owning guns in certain situations is safe for the nation. Individuals who own guns are to be at fault for catastrophes committed, not the gun itself. Unfortunately, the object being used in most cases happens to be a gun. Recently, within the past few years there have been many mass shootings in places, such as the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, or the attack of a social services office in San Bernardino, California. Just these two examples led to forty deaths, including both children and adults. The tragedy of these events adds to the emotion of the debate. The debate cannot happen however, without a close examination of the Declaration, Constitution, and Bill of Rights, and that is why these documents remain relevant
