There are multiple segments that must be accounted for when marketing a new product. The new product that there are many segments for is a robotic lawnmower. Some segments that could be targeted for the product would be to focus on the elderly, those with large lawns and those people have hot and humid weather. While there are other segments to try and target, they such as people interested in technology. Although there one could target it, at the moment there is not a lot of people that would want to buy it. The three segments to target allow for the robotic lawn mower to be a solution for each group. The solution allows for convenience and for the segments to have more time for themselves, and have less energy used for lawn maintenance. …show more content…
This segment, by far is the largest. Some of the elderly would want to mow their lawn but due to physical constraints, they might not be able to mow their lawn. They might not have family that would help out with their lawns. The elderly would likely get tired faster and not be able to mow their entire lawn. Ordering a robotic lawn mower allows them to not expand their energy on mowing the lawn. Allowing a robotic lawn mower to mow the lawn allows for more time to spend with grandchildren and enjoying their life. One downside to target this segment would be that they do not have as much money as those who would be currently working. When marketing the product, the price would have to be less expensive than targeting a segment where people are invested in technology. At the same time, they save money by not having to pay professionals for their lawn maintenance. Rather than paying a large amount of cash each time they work on the lawn, the consumer has to pay once for the robotic lawn mower and can use it multiple
