Can one imagine food lasting for weeks? Can one imagine not having to share the same bucket for bodily excretions? How about staying cool at the touch of a switch? Before the Rural Electrification Act was enforced, people endured austere conditions, such as poor heating in houses and unsanitary environments. Because of electricity, things such as refrigeration, air conditioning, and indoor plumbing are now able to function. Due to electricity, people no longer have to make tiresome trips to the cellar everytime they want something to eat- nor worry about food frequently spoiling. People can now stop stressing about not being able to afford delivered ice to their homes to keep their food cool. Electricity makes this possible due to Refrigeration. This process allows the food to be cooled and preserved. This comes with more complications because even with going outside, a cool breeze is not guaranteed. The sun is still beaming, so people have to go searching for a perfect spot to find shade.
