Statistics have a strong way of speaking to the public because with numbers anyone can believe what’s shown. The best way for someone to fully understand the information that’s provided to them is by having evidence that will back up what’s shown. There are approximately 21 million people who are affected by sex trafficking around the world. (“21 million people are now victims of forced labour, ILO says”) Having 21 million people as victims of sex trafficking contradict everything that people say about them needing help and makes it hard for others to see why they should be considered victims 32 billion estimated profits generated by human trafficking globally (“Human trafficking: organized crime and the multibillion dollar sale of people”)
