“Sexism means discrimination based on sex or gender, or the belief that men are superior to women and thus discrimination is justified” (Thoughtco). For example, if a person ignores or dismisses the opinion of a girl just because they are a female then they are being sexist. However, it can go both ways, sexism doesn’t stop with females, it can also be used towards males for various reasons. It is said that “sexism, or the division between the sexes, started a little after the Neolithic Revolution” (Fereshte). Many people believe that since then like racism, sexism is decreasing. Many women are treated unfairly when they go to work all because of their gender. The men sometimes believe that the females do not know what they are doing and how to handle business.
