My grandmother, Sharron Brooks Hunt, was born in Mississippi in 1945 and her family moved to Atlanta in 1960. She is a caring woman who likes nothing better than giving back to her community. Over the years, she has volunteered at hundreds of different organizations. She is a well-dressed and outgoing person. Her words are kind and encouraging and she is almost always smiling. My grandmother attended Georgia State University in the 1960s, during the time of the civil rights movement. She was living in Atlanta at the time and picked Georgia State because her brother was going to college in another state and she wanted to stay at home to save her family money.
