Julius Caesar was born on July 12th, 100 B.C.E. He was killed on March 15, 44 B.C.E.,
when he was 55 years old. He was born in Rome, the capital of Italy, to Gauis Julius Caesar and
Aurelia Cotta. The Caesar family claimed a long and noble history. Julius Caesar’s father had
gained moderate and political success as well. As a result, Caesar was entitled to certain
traditional privileges and offices. Julius Caesar was a very ambitious dictator, at the height of the
Roman Empire, who had achieved many goals in his life.
Julius Caesar had three wives. His first wife was Cornelia Cinnilla minor. They had a
daughter, Julia Caesaris. Cornelia died in 69 B.C.E., while giving birth to her second child, who
