In modern day 2016, and for decades in America, our country has been run by stacks of green paper we call money with printed numbers on them; a person with more money has luxuries in the U.S. because they can purchase items that all Americans desire. If I want to someday go to college, get a degree, own luxury items, and have children that I can also make strive to make themselves financially successful I must save a great portion of my earnings. Saving the money I earn will be a short-term sacrifice that I believe will be well worth it in the long term when I can earn and receive all things I have ever desired to own or achieve.

We all want an appealing home on beautiful land, two or three magnificent cars in an immense garage, and a stunning pool in a staggering backyard; unfortunately, all of these luxury items cost substantial amounts of money. I believe if I can overcome the sacrifices that must be taken when saving money, I will be able to purchase more splendor items in the future. An example of a short-term sacrifice I could make would be buying a used car with much life left on the engine for a reasonable price, instead of buying a new car that is nice, but not quite as satisfying as the Corvette I have always wanted. All of the short-term sacrifices that would be made would be worth it in the long run, because items that I desire will be possible to be obtained for the benefit of myself, my family, and most prominently for my children that I would like to be able to send to college nearly debt free and live in their own …show more content…
After I can succeed in making the sacrifice of saving my earnings, finishing college, and paying off my debt to begin a more upscale lifestyle I believe it is important to continue to make these sacrifices with my spending so I can ensure my children's succession. Saving money is something I will teach and stress to my children also because it will discipline them and teach them to conserve. One of my fears about always saving money, and my children always saving is a lack of a social life and self enjoyment. I want for my children and I to be able to save, but also I want to enjoy events such as going to eat at a restaurant and watching a movie in theaters. As a teenager, I understand saving is not an easy task as job options are limited, my schedule’s always booked, and my biweekly salary is low. On my low salary I have to find ways to conserve to I can pay for my car insurance, gas, and food all while trying to save funds for college; I believe the sacrifices I am making will lead to be more beneficial for my future, and also for my
