Hello everyone. Welcome to Simon Birch’s funeral, I’m Joe Wentworth. I was Simon’s best friend, as he was mine as well. Today I will present you a few stories from Simon’s journey, that I had the pleasure of sharing with him. Simon was always very mischievous, and he definitely proved that at the town Christmas pageant. Simon was forced into being baby Jesus, due to he was the only one who could fit in the bassinet. Well, Marjorie was mother Mary, and seeing as Simon was basically in love with her, he was already a nervous wreck. So at the pageant, we were all performing on stage. So as I discovered that it was not the same ball, and that Mr. Baker was not my dad, I did indeed go psycho. I threw the baseball at the window, and as I watched it shatter I screamed. So as we were sitting with the police officer, that was when we were told we would have to go on the retreat. I tried so hard to get Simon out of trouble, but the officer wouldn’t let him go so he got in just as much trouble as I did. I felt so bad for him, especially because it was all my fault that we got in trouble in the first
