For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to attend North Dakota State University. My dad and sister are NDSU alumni, so furthering my education where they did provides us with a unique bond. Additionally, not many of my relatives attended college, allowing me to see the difficulties in providing for oneself and family without a college degree. Although I know the next seven years are going to be challenging, extremely strenuous, and will push me to the edge of my comfort zone, the satisfaction of administering medical services to those who need them will make it worthwhile. Not only will I be able to care for others with a Pharm.…

An experience that changed my life forever was coming to Northwest Christian for high school. Before I attended Northwest I spent all of elementary school and middle school at Rancho Solano. Although my time there was great, it was taught in a strictly academic worldview. Then during my eighth grade year, I made the decision to enroll in Boulder Creek High School. It's something inside of me that wakes up and tells me " go help ", " they need your help, go to see what you can do."…

The majority of the students who had shown up where only there because their parents had forced them to go and not so much because they were aspiring to become better Catholics. It was an absolutely different environment to me, dealing with people who were so ignorant and clueless about my faith. When half the year was finally over, I noticed a difference in myself; I was happier and very relaxed. I first noticed when we had our first retreat. I was the type of person that didn’t like to participate, or even raise my hand to answer (despite knowing 100% I was right), let alone scream or sing; I was very shy and quiet.…
