People are so drawn into these sites as they want to keep up with everyone’s lives. Most users spend at least an hour in these popular social media sites each day. That would be 365 hours in a year all wasted on social media. One may ask how spending all that time on the social media sites may have a positive impact on them. “Riley says organisations may want to look at using social media themselves to help employees feel truly connected and positive about their employer” (Reap the benefits of Social media). This is an example of how social media can help new employees (kids who have just graduated and just started their job) stay connected with their employer as they can get updates whenever something is posted. “Athletes and sports programs are constantly experimenting with the usefulness of social media.
