Speech On Prayer Of Blessing

Improved Essays
God please help me, strengthen my heart and my soul.
Give me courage to face my adversities, that I may be bold like a lion.
May I love my neighbor, may I honor my parents.
I pray that I may walk the narrow road, soften my heart and grant me wisdom.
Comfort me with your love, allow me to obey your commands.
Guide me oh shepherd, so that I may walk in your ways.
Amen

We can become so self-centred that our prayers become selfish, when we should be praying for others. We need to love our neighbours; it is such an important commandment from God. Today I encourage you to pray not only for yourself, but to pray for others, regardless if they have hurt you or live in sin. We must still love our neighbour, we can hate the sins they commit, but we must love our neighbours regardless. Today I encourage you to say this simple prayer of blessing for someone whom you know that needs it. This special prayer of blessing is written in the book Numbers ch6 v24, v25 and

We need to change our negative thoughts to positive thoughts through trusting God. We need to have faith in God, that He will strengthen us and provide us with wisdom to change our negative thoughts to positive thoughts. We need to stop relying on our own understanding, but instead ask God to bring understanding through His word. God's word is the truth, and when we believe and put our trust in God, this is when we receive the truth. The more we believe and trust in God, the more wisdom God will reveal unto us. But we need to read God's word, because through reading the word, our faith is strengthened and restored. It is God who provides us with wisdom to believe in Him and not ourselves. This is what the Lord has asked me to reveal unto you.

Franklin, Winthrop, and Rowlandson’s views on religion are all drastically different from each other. Winthrop believes in God, but he uses it as justification on how the Puritans are better than England. In the three essays written by Dillard, Appiah, and Pratt, they all use different examples but focus overall on the same “big picture”. They’re all part of a larger conversation, but they each stepped back and put in their own point of view on this subject. The main subject they all discuss is seeing. Dillard talks about how what people see is what they get. If they look for positivity and see positivity in everything, then they will get positivity out of it, and vice versa.…

RARELY has obedience laid upon me so difficult a task as this of writing about prayer; for one reason, because I do not feel that God has given me either the power or the desire for it, besides which, during the last three months I have suffered from noises and a great weakness in my head that have made it painful for me to write even on necessary business. However, as I know the power obedience has of making things easy which seem impossible, my will submits with a good grace, although nature seems greatly distressed, for God has not given me such strength as to bear, without repugnance, the constant struggle against illness while performing many different duties. May He, Who has helped me in other more difficult matters, aid me with His grace…
