When children are exposed to these situations they become insensitive to animal cruelty, bringing up another generation of people who overlook animal abuse. Taking children to these events also teaches them that it’s okay to disregard the law and that is the opposite of what this situation needs right now. If we had stricter laws to punish people who organized these fights then they would be discouraged from this practice and hopefully it would come to an end. To the people who run these the punishments are nothing more than a slap on the wrist and part of running their business. “In short, strictly speaking, if your neighbor beats his dog, or fails to feed it, he or she is violating a national law. Then again, who’s afraid of the consequences? Certainly not the Korean dog-fighters, for example, who probably never even blinked at the fine.”(Honasan) If we had stricter laws and more severe punishments there would be better chances they don’t get these operations up and running
