Sub-Saharan Afric The Cause Of Poverty In Uganda

Poverty is a serious issue in Uganda. The hungrier a person is, the less productive he or she can be. Children that are born in the families who are always hungry are more likely to suffer from low birth weight. People are not hungry due to lack of food, rather they are hungry and do not have the money to pay for food. The houses they live in do not suit their living conditions. Every day, thousands of people die simply because of poverty. In many African countries, one major reason is the long-term poverty “In Africa over 40% of the people who live in Sub-Saharan Africa lives in absolute poverty.” Because of this, Sub-Saharan Africa is having population reduction than growth. One of the leading causes involved with food is lack of nutrition. Seeing the child in the photograph, made my heart feels a slight pain because in the picture it shows ribs in their figures living in the poor village dressed in rags wandering off in the street and picking up the food that is on the ground to eat. They probably have to suffer the hunger for a lifetime. People of Uganda that are experiencing the effect of poverty have to sustain the little that they own. To help solve the issues of poverty, we encourage everyone to take practical action to help Ugandan children by providing the nutrition they need to have access of nutritional food so they can grow up in a better
