I have taken leadership in comprehensive program reviews and revisions at three institutions. While at Olivet Nazarene University (ONU), I served as an active member of several program review committees charged with evaluating the effectiveness of various degree programs, and led the review of one high profile program. I worked closely with the Associate Provost to revise the academic program review process at Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA) to incorporate assessment reports and data in the review process. As Chair of the Liberal and Applied Arts College Council at SFA, I oversaw the college level approval of curricular changes. I also served as an active member of the Graduate Council, which is charged with approval of graduate curricular changes, and as an active member of the Undergraduate Council, which is responsible for reviewing and making recommendations concerning proposed changes in the undergraduate curriculum at SFA. I was also an active and highly involved member of the Long Range Planning Committee at Lamar University (LU). This committee developed plans for LU’s campus master plan, expansion of academic programs, and budget priorities. I led the committee charged with developing the post-tenure review policy at LU, and wrote the draft policy that was ultimately approved by the committee and accepted for implementation. I co-chaired the committees that produced major revisions of the tenure and promotion policies at SFA. These revisions were made to ensure quality, consistency, fairness, collaboration, and faculty rights in the tenure and promotion processes. I also served as a member of the University Policies Committee at SFA, and chaired the Liberal and Applied Arts College Council as the council developed a variety of college policies.
