On the 1985 earthquake anniversary, Mexico City was struck by another strong earthquake that was the second earthquake that occurred in the past two weeks. According to the US Geological Survey, “the magnitude 7 quake hit at 1:14p.m. and was centered near the Puebla state town of Raboso, and about 76 miles southeast of Mexico City.” Ironically, the earthquake occurred two hours after the earthquake. This powerful and cold blood earthquake kills at least 149 people, and thousands of the buildings are collapsing into the streets in panic.
