After taking the Conceptualizing Leadership questionnaire, I found that I view leadership as a relationship, process, ability, skill, and behavior almost equally. My results showed relationship and process scoring the highest and trait scoring the lowest. I don’t see leadership as a trait and I don’t think people are born leaders because anyone can be a leader if they choose to be. For example, many good leaders have good communication skills and are good at speaking in public. They may have originally been very shy and had to work on their communication skills and practice public speaking to help them become the leader they are today. I do think that everyone is capable of being a leader in different situations. For those not born with leadership qualities, I think it takes time and practice to become a good leader. They may have to try harder to be charismatic, hard-working, influential, or good at speaking. I also think that people who are incapable of learning the skills of a good leader are still capable of being a leader in other ways. More introverted people can lead by example or without being direct. Others may just choose not to lead, even when they have the skills and qualities of a good
