There are always new ways of doing things or better ways that have yet to be discovered or new inventions to be though up that would make a job easier. Many times in history people have come up with a new idea or way of doing something and have been laughed at. Just because it hasn’t been done yet doesn’t mean it can’t be done. We should always be learning, adopting and changing based on new experiences and information. I would hate to see us turn into a world of Ophelia’s. Not knowing up from down, doing whatever anyone else tells us to do. In Diagnosing and Treating the Ophelia Syndrome by Thomas G. Pulmmer we get to see how torn apart a person becomes when all they do is listen to others and they don’t think for one’s self. Never asking why am I doing this, what are their motives or what makes me happy? Eventually it all becomes too much and not knowing what to do Ophelia kills herself. One of the many blessings that I have received from the church is learning to think and ponder over things that you learn. That wondering and getting lost in thought over a piece of knowledge or wanting a deeper understanding is ok, in fact it is
