Five Domains Of Personality Analysis

According to personality theorists there are five major domains of personality. These include extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness. In a test which can be taken online you are able to see where you fall into each of these categories and what your true personality is. You simply fill out a short survey with I wide range of questions, once you have completed the survey the computer generates your answers and finally shows you where you fall on the personality spectrum. This text is supposed to reveal a board description of your personality based on those five main factors. The first factor of the five domains of personality is extraversion Put simply this is the area that tests how much of an extravert you are. The test could not have done a better job describing me. My choice of major is nursing specifically I would like to be a nurse practitioner that works under the OBGYN. In this field I will need to have an average level of extraversion this way I am able to speak to the patients without difficulty but not be overbearing to where it may overwhelm them in an already uncomfortable situation. My high score in agreeableness will be useful when listening to the patient and instead of arguing my point I will explain it. Conscientiousness for any field is necessary, people need to be goal oriented but this is especially true for the medical field. I will be able to be organized and timely when treating patients. My low score in neuroticism showed that I am going to be caring and sympathetic. Lastly openness, the medical field is always changing but with every change is an explanation and a reason which my less open mined will be able to handle and adapt fairly easy
