All he desired was to keep on being honorable to serve his king and country but now his life is undone by traitorous Macbeth. The good Banquo was fair and just, a respected warrior among warriors. In this case the Fates have sown discord and bad ambitions that resulted in the death of good Duncan and his trusted captain Banquo. So great was Duncan’s respects that after the battle he called him friend.
