The government continually produces coins in America for coin circulation in the economy, aiding with transactions. Coins are still important in cash transactions today, even though society prominently uses digital currency. Coins like quarters, dimes, and nickels can be useful for parking meters, vending machines, laundromats, cash transactions, and many other things. If a coin had no useful purpose, one would assume it would not be produced; however, the penny, a coin with little to no purpose, is still being minted. The American government should end the production of pennies, because they are useless and inflict harm on the American economy and the American people.
