Although the papers are written from different disciplines, the structures are very straight forward and orderly. The psychology article is structured in a slightly more formal manner than the social issues article because it starts out with an abstract. After the abstract there is a brief introductory paragraph followed by subcategories to organize the “meat” of the article. Furman’s article has a reference section at the end of the article and although Jost’s article does not contain one, Jost does list all of his referenced quotes in a footnote section at the end of the article. There is most likely no reference section in Jost’s article to keep the attention on the issue opposed to the people who he quoted. All-in-all both Jost and Furman use an APA reference to structure their articles around in an effective
