Becoming A Class Leader Analysis

Once I was struggling with a very complex physics problem and I spent as much time as I could to figure it out but unfortunately I just couldn’t. In that moment a surge of anxiety and frustration flowed to me. All of a sudden, a new email popped up on my computer screen. I felt so annoyed by the email that interrupt my thinking, but I still read it. It was from one of my classmates who was writing to asking me to help her revise her just finished essay. To be honest, I was so perturbed that I didn’t really want to help her, but since I was trapped by the physics problem and had nothing else to do, I still helped her check her essay. It was a fairly great essay with good content and logic but terribly poor grammar. She made so many careless …show more content…
I was sometimes confused that I am the one with the highest grade in every subject, and obviously, the class leader should be me. Why it is she who is the class leader instead of me? This is totally unfair! With grievance, I pay attention to everything she does to find the disparity between her and me. Then I start to realize that she speaks to everyone euphemistically and is always smiling and being amicable to everyone even if underneath she is upset. And I, however, speak too directly and sometimes my attitude toward people will be easily influenced by my moods. For example, a student asks an extremely effortless question to her and me while we are both struggling dealing with our own business and not capable of helping. I might probably reply to him or her: “You can’t even solve such a simple question? Are you actually kidding me? Can’t you see I am busy?” Or I would just ignore him or her. However, my best friend would say: “I am terribly sorry that I am not available to explain it to you. This question is actually not as complex as you think. You may read your notes again. If you still cannot figure it out, you can ask me later, will you?” Apparently, hers sound far
