Before a leader can be a success mentor, he needs to deal with cultural differences diligently at the workplace. Regardless of cultural differences, there are some constants. Every employee appreciates being treated with respect. Even those who come from cultures noted for self-sacrifice and community thinking have a sense of self-value and appreciate being treated as individuals. They want their opinion to matter and be appreciated. Everyone appreciates an opportunity to explain themselves, so it is wise to allow enough them enough time to let employees get things off their chests. Every person from every culture understands the basic concept of fairness: that people should be treated consistently according to known rules or standards, based upon things that were within their power to control. Cirque du Soleil workforce also need a psychological contract which is an implied relationship based on mutual contributions (Businessays, 2016). Leaders need to invite new ideas from employees on how to achieve this 2020 sustainability goal and use some of them.
