It is highly unlikely for all particles in an object to behave in a way at the same time that would cause the object to exhibit behavior that is not probable. Being able to predict what an object is going to do with accuracy does not even come close to eliminating uncertainties that affect science in big ways though. In nearly every measurement in every experiment, there is some level of uncertainty. Some measuring tools are more accurate than others but the farthest number to the right of a decimal point is usually rounded which can seem to have little effect on the end calculation when it involved larger objects, but it can have noticeable effects when dealing with calculations on a subatomic level. Small amounts of uncertainty in lab results are not the only reason the hypotheses the experiments aim to support are treated with doubt by scientists. Theories, no matter how much supporting evidence they have, are unable to be proven to be one hundred percent true. They can only be supported with evidence until they are proven wrong. Most people would like to think theories are always true all the time, but the reality is that most are wrong in the sense that they simply do not encompass every possibility. The right questions just have not been asked to prove the theory wrong in a case. Other theories have little supporting evidence, just little …show more content…
If people dwelled on all the possibilities and uncertainties in daily life every day they would be unable to function. Every choice a person makes as they go about their day has long lasting and unforeseeable consequences, for better or for worse. To dwell on what could have happened had a different choice been made can have devastating effects to a person’s mentality. Dwelling on all the things that could happen during the day can also leave a person incapable of going about their daily life. If everyone was stuck wondering what was going to happen on their way to run errands- if they would make it there safely or if there would be an accident- no one would ever go do anything. They would all be too frightened of what bad things might happen. Most people just choose not to think about all the small possibilities in life for that reason, instead dwelling on the big decisions and trying not to regret decisions made that could have been life changing or dwell on what could have happened had the other choice been made. Chance events can place people in certain places at certain times to make a huge impact on their lives, such as bumping into a future partner in a line for groceries or being in the right place to be in an
