The true meaning behind vulnerability creates a deeper understanding which society seems to misunderstand. Vulnerability appears to be someone “easily hurt or harmed physically, mentally, or emotionally” (“Vulnerable”). However, vulnerability means being brave enough to reveal one’s weaknesses. Vulnerability appears to partake a negative significance; however, it manifests a positive experience and outcome.
Courage is perceived through the authorization of vulnerability. Courageous individuals cry and fight and scream and strike and continue. When they show their courage they feel satisfied. As humans, fear tends to get in the way of pursuing greatness. Then again, in order to succeed in life, it’s essential to experience the emotion of fear. Individuals always tell themselves that they’re not good enough or capable of anything. In fact, they label themselves as “pathetic” or “humiliating”. Little do they know that going through the feeling of fear and shame builds up their courage to overcome weaknesses. In society today, it’s common for individuals to fit in with everybody else. Nowadays, looking ‘original’ has more significance than being unique. A large amount of people blind themselves when it comes to experiencing different happenings. Creativity comes in when one freely lets their true potential and inner self out. However, individuals then decide to limit their creative abilities. If one proclaims something negative toward another, it becomes a wound.
