Chroma, the greek word for colour, the light waves from the sun creates colour for the world. Colour usually appears on surface, the outermost surface which has interaction with the sun, or light. In the lecture of Brown, by Kiristina Podesva, and the lecture about black, by Liz Lee and Jared Sexton. The relationship between colour is intersecting with each other. Black as the extreme of one spectrum of colour and brown as the unique form of colour being nowhere in the colour wheel.
The relationship between brown and black is strange. For my own knowlege, when brown mix with blue, black is the result. Both lecture develop the meaning of the colour to a deeper level. However, both lecture contain different perspective toward …show more content…
When theres a black painting, the black is creating a black hole like, and seems it is like an portal to another world. I think this might be the reason why people are tempted to touch the painting.
I appreciated the colour of grey is being bring up to the black lecture, the interaction or relation of black is being explain in the lecture. The “black” which is being mentioned is actually grey. As the colour grey. in the brown lecture Podesva mentioned that brown should be replace of the grey.

The brown colour itself is very subtle, its is locate at the shadow of someone’s skin, at the edge of a tree, the siloette during sunset, and so on. On the other hand, the object of brown is hiding in daily life like “soils, animals, tree barks, feces and many other things in nature”7, which mentioned by Gilbert in the article.
For the article brings up the Web 2.0 and how it is connect with the idea of brown, a mixture of everything. For instance this idea is helping me to understand what Podesva suggests about brown is the colour of love. For instance the mixing factor of brown become a connotation, which is deriverate from the color theory, red mix with blue and yellow, become brown. The colour is not the connotation, but how pignment mix together into brown become the meaning for “Love” as Podesva mention, and how Web 2.0 is refer from Gilbert.
The mixing quality is being applied to Podesva by herself as the label of her identity. To show that brown is some sort of middle ground black or
