The Pros And Cons Of Storming The Court

Although storming the court is a popular thing to do in college basketball, especially if it's a scenario of beating a number one ranked team. Placed in this situation can be tricky. Even if you want to avoid student from storming the court, there may not be enough personnel to do so. There are too many risks involved for students to storm the court. The players, students, and anyone else involved all have risk of injury. Fights between player and fan is a possibility, in addition to players of the losing team flat out being disrespected. Current NBA player Jared Sullinger, expressed that he was spit in the face by a Wisconsin fan during a crown storming after Wisconsin upset Ohio State. (Whitley, 2012)
