The Industrial revolution which began in Britain is generally seen as the most profound change that have affected in the world. It is a significant event as it shaped the modern world by changing the economic and social structures of society. The revolution firstly occurred in Britain in the 18th century and there are many interpretations of the reasons for it. In order to understand why it has started in Britain first, this essay will discuss the main combination of reasons as the progress of agricultural revolution and the satisfying conditions in the economic and political sphere, in terms of colonial trade, technology and government support. After that it will examine the ability of country to overcome the problems and compare Britain with other countries.

The agriculture revolution led to the increase in productivity due to new technological inventions, like seed drill and presentation of new crops. This allowed to increase the output, which fed rapidly growing population in low prices with less effort like never before and population had a chance to buy other manufactured goods. Importantly, it excluded British peasantry by monopolizing the lands, as a consequence the farm employment reduced, after which farmers started to move to urban areas and created a labor force for new industries. Thus, agricultural revolution completed two functions: increased population which meant greater demand for goods, availability of people who was ready to work in industries ,and capital to be used in modern sectors of economy.
