Egypt's social classes were like a pyramid the slaves were at the bottom and the pharaoh was on top. In ancient egypt the social classes were in the shape of a pyramid. The farmers are on the bottom of the pyramid then comes the craftsmen. The craftsmen are above the farmers because the craftsmen can make more things like jewelry, clothing,statues and other things that people might need. Next are the merchants. The merchants sell the things that the craftsmen make. After the merchants comes the scribes. The scribes are journalist. With ancient egypt being a complex salvation they needed people to take records and record stories. On the next step of the social pyramid are the people that worked in the government.
