Roosevelt had a passion for reading and writing. Over the course of his lifetime, Roosevelt authored 38 books, which included an autobiography, a biography of Oliver Cromwell, a history of New York City and the four-volume series “The Winning of the West.” He also wrote numerous books and magazine articles about hunting and his frontier feats.

They have regular national parks, but also historic sites, seashores, battlefields and more! They used a special name since this was a memorial to Theodore Roosevelt. When people saw the land had special plants, animals and geology, they changed it to a national park giving it the name we know today Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Today, Theodore Roosevelt National Park is a protected ecosystem for wildlife. The leading up to the creation of the park can be attributed to, two key event in the 1930s. First was the Great Depression, were most of the population could not find work or make money. Second was the Dust Bowl, this was a direct result of too much farming and not enough rain turned the grasslands into dusty fields.
