Boo is caring because of the fact that, during the burning of Miss Maudie's house, he puts a blanket on Scout. Next, he is kind because he puts gifts in a knot hole of a tree for Jem and Scout. Finally Boo is courageous because he saves Scout and Jem from Bob Ewell when he tries to kill them. After Bob is dead and so is Tom, the sheriff says “Let the dead bury the dead”(pg 276, line 4). What he means is that since Bob got Tom killed, Bob had death coming.
Harpel Lee uses Atticus, Jem, and Boo to exemplify the symbol of a mockingbird. A mockingbird is brave, caring, kind, soothing, and heroic. This theme is important because it shows some traits of a “mockingbird”. A person should not hurt a person who helps others. This is connected to the author's experiences because she dealt with people that hurt others who were just trying to help. The topic of this paper is basically trying to say is to be a mockingbird and not a mockingbird hunter. A person should try to be a mockingbird every day and help others to become one
