Chapter 1 talks about the groundwork of theoretical thinking of past research in articles and books have been done on voter turnout and electoral system, but more specifically about research ideas of voter turnout decline. What could happen with elections in a distant future? This will get a grasp of other people’s thinking on the issues of turnout and electoral system and their thoughts on voter turnout issues the countries are facing.
