Mickey Mouse's debut was not all that glorious, due to the first two animated shorts being silent. However, the third short gave fame to Mickey Mouse. Walt and Iwerk added sound and music, it was a quick success. The animated short was commonly known as “Steamboat Willie”. With the creation of Mickey Mouse it was only fitting that Walt Disney himself be the voice of the famous mouse. In 1929, he released a series of musical shorts titled “Silly Symphonies,” which featured Mickey`s friends: Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, and his most beloved girlfriend Minnie (The Famous People).
“The Three Little Pigs”, which is his most memorable cartoon debuted in, 1933. “Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf” created some happiness during the Great Depression. After the huge success with “The Three LIttle Pigs”, Walt had a dream to create a full-length film. Following some very intense training, he turned his dream into a plan. “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” was beginning to start filming. The Carthay Circle Theatre premiered the first full-length film, three years later. Due to the huge success of the film, Walt was named the Golden Age of Animation
