As I was taking this class, I had realized that a health and wellness plan is very essential to having a healthy life, and that it is much more complex then I realized. So in this paper I have given an overview of some issues that I would like to address in my own life. Concluding with my new volleyball health and wellness plan, so that I may achieve getting onto a college volleyball team. Of course a bonus would be being able to get a scholarship.

One thing I found interesting in class this year was how the environment can affect our health, whether it is positively or negatively. So what is environmental health?
Environmental health is “ the branch of public health that is concerned with all aspects of the natural and built environment that may affect human health. Other terms referring to or concerning environmental health are environmental public health, and public health protection /environmental health protection.”
People like me need to get a better understanding of what is going on in the world or in our own areas. If more people were to pay attention to the environmental health then problems could be solved much more quickly. Whether it is educating ourselves about smog, clean water, trash in the ocean etc. we all need to become more aware how we are affecting the environments health. Also letting them know my strengths and weaknesses, which helps me to share more and even asking for help from my teammates if needed. I need to be willing to help them when they need help, and be and encouragement to them.
Some may not think you would need a spiritual plan for volleyball but if you know someone is standing with you on the court it is really comforting. Whenever I feel overwhelmed its good to know that God is on our side.
For my spiritual health in volleyball I want Pray more before the games so that I am not so nervous. I would like to read and write down scriptures and positive anecdotes like “with God all things are possible…” and to never give up. This encourages me to not give up and I can do anything on the court.
