What Are The Differences In African-American Women

My research about Women’s Rights has told me many things. Lots were good but lots were bad, too. It also showed differences between different genders. For instance, one difference is that in voting patterns, women tend to go towards candidates that promise social programs and domestic spending. Men usually go towards candidates who want defence spending. Another difference is that women still make less than men. They make about 77 cents to every dollar a man makes. For African-American and Latina women it’s even worse. African-American women make 64 cents and Latina women make 56 cents to every dollar of a Caucasian man. Lastly, for every dollar made by a father with children under 18, mothers earn 74.7 cents. Women now have more social, economic, and political equality then they ever have had before, but it’s still not the same as men’s. A really bad thing is that women’s issues are regarded as secondary to men’s issues. Now onto my next paragraph.
There have definitely been good changes for gender equality and Women’s Rights. A major change is that women are now allowed to vote. That

Some have spoken extremely rude things about it. Take President Donald Trump as an example. He has been doing things that are actually good for Women’s Rights/Gender Equality. He recently held a big meeting with women who own small businesses. A couple of quotes that were spoken were, “We must ensure that our economy is a place where women can work and thrive.” and, “We will continue addressing the barriers faced by [women in the workplace].” Many famous women were at the meeting like Dyan Gibbens, Shirley Ann Perry, and Claudia Mirza! Trump has done and said many things that are very anti-Women’s Rights such as believing there is no unequal pay, has called many women disgusting and pigs, and much more, but I believe he is making a comeback. Next, let's talk about things we can do to support Women’s Rights and Gender

For many years there has been a tremendous gap between health related diseases among the different racial groups. For example, some of the health diseases argued and researched over the years include: cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes. In America, research has always led to the fact that black African Americans tend to have a higher mortality rate than those that are white. However, throughout the studies of racial inequality between health there is a question that comes into place as to whether or not "fundamental biological differences" is a cause of the health related problems that some people get. Through research it is shown that biological differences isn't a leading cause in the different health issues among race, social economic…

The roles are less strict now. For example, women are allowed to vote now. Women are freer to explore their creative and even political thoughts. Even though we have made a lot of improvement, we are still not equal. Although someone might object that women and men are equal, I maintain the fact that men and women are still not equal.…

After years of fighting an aggressive battle for equality, in 1920 the 19th Amendment was passed and women were assured the right to vote. Although women were granted the right to vote, the Lowell Mill women organized themselves and went on strike before they were granted voting rights. I’m sure that the contributions of every woman haven’t been documented in publications, media and textbooks but thankfully many contributions of women can be found in the history books. Women have played key roles in workers’ rights globally for over a century. They have long been connected to protests, revolutions and strikes.…

Wage Gap Controversy Since the early ages, women have been devalued and belittled by men. Female citizens of the United States were not even allowed to vote until congress added the 19th amendment to the Constitution during the years after the first World war. The fight for equal rights between men and women has been going on, dating all the way back to 1848; many people don't realize that it is still going on. Men are still getting paid more money than many women with the same job, and the same skill level. On average, women are only getting paid $0.77 to man’s $1.00. Although $0.23 doesn’t make that much of a difference now, it makes a big difference in the long-run. “Women miss out on anywhere between $700,000 and $2 million in lost wages over the course of their careers, compared to male co-workers with equal education levels and job experience.”…

This culture still exists among African Americans, because to some degree, traits and beliefs are passed down from generation to generation. Eventually African American slaves were freed, but what can they do or where could they go?…

“Full time working woman earn just 78 cents for every dollar a man earns” ("Did You Know That Women Are Still Paid Less Than Men?"). That is not a lot when you look at it from that point of view. But when you look at it as a yearly salary that is a big difference. Manny women, i.e. single mothers, would need that extra $2,000 or more a year to take care of their family. In 2014, there was a study to determine what the median annual wages for both male and female over all 50 states.…
