Juliet’s father was mainly to blame for the tragic ending in the story of two star-crossed lovers. Juliet’s father tried to brainwash her and tell her how she is worth nothing if she can’t help him. Juliet being the strong female she was, didn’t like the things her father said to her on what was acceptable and in the end pushed her too far, so she could be free and happy. Juliet’s father said he had all of these great things planned, and that she would be so happy with Paris, who she was set to marry. In reality, the only person who truly benefited from Juliet and Paris’s marriage would have been the father himself because Juliet’s true love and happiness lied within him. “ How, will she none? Doth she not give us thanks? Is she not proud?
