Who Is Vincent Van Gogh

Vincent van Gogh is famous for this one painting. At the time he was living in a mental hospital. The painting is a view from his eyes looking out the window of Provence. Vincent displayed his emotional and current state of mind in the Starry Night. At the top right corner, there are heavy brushstrokes back and forth similar to swirls that keep rotating. I feel as if Vincent is comparing his intellectual thoughts to the swirls. It is almost like he splattered the paint and intentionally drew out of lines because he was so angry. The little village is afar because that is how Vincent felt from the real world. The sense of being locked up and steadily on medications had his mind all upside down. The church looks neatly painted because I assume
