Why Kids Should Not Be Held Accountable As Adults

Kids being held accountable as adults. Kids shouldn’t be accountable as adults because they are just kids, they’re are still learning and they don’t know what they are doing. Kids do not understand what they are doing, unlike adults, who know what they are doing. Therefore, kids are still kids, still learning the way of life, and shouldn’t be punished for simply having fun and being a kid. Kids don’t understand what they are doing. It is not the kids that are doing it, it's the parents that are not helping their kids. “Kids need parents, not a part-time person in their life.” In simplest detail, It is not the kids' job to be parenting themselves it is the parents' job. Know while some kids have commited attempts of murder, or actual murder itself, they are kids and don’t understand what they are doing is wrong, yes they should definitely be punished, just not as harsh and extreme in some way, as adults. Adults have had parents and they have had time to learn. Therefore kids have not realized what they have done is wrong and should be committed by anyone, including themselves. They need to learn and understand this when they turn about sixteen, or hopefully younger. When they get sixteen they are too old to be acting out like that.
