Out of all the subjects that I know, media, history, and music are probably subjects that I know the most about. When I came to orientation, I was stuck between two different majors, which were creative writing, and the one I have now. I actually ended up picking this major by the ‘flip of a coin’. Strategic communications is something that I know will be interesting, and I could always do my own writing on the side. Once I get my degree, I hope to go into public relations, and working with the media. I have looked into public relations a numerous amount of times recently, and I have just fallen in love with it. I think it will be fulfilling in the sense that I will be able to help someone become big and get their name out into the world. The issues I have with this major mainly revolve around finding that one perfect job that will keep me interested. I would like to find that job without having to go too far. I originally planned to move to California for a job, but now I am not so sure. Other than that, I do not think I have many issues with this career choice, and I think that it is perfectly suited for me. Outside of my major, I think the most intriguing issue for me is the process of publishing books, and also writing them. I would love to hear someone talk about the process that one has to go through for their book to be published. If I do want to publish my own story one day, I think it would be nice to know all the steps I need to go
