The First National Women’s Rights Convention was held in Worchester, Massachuetes in 1850 where 10 times the amount of people showed. During the 1860’s Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton formed the National Womens Suffrage Assosication with their primary focus being the right to vote which did not come until August 26th, 1920, Imbornoni wrote. History, Art, and Archives stated women were scattered throughout 30 committees in Congress, the largest amount were on the Committee for Women’s Suffrage. In 1927 they disbanded. Women were also on committees that dealt with Education, World War Veterans, Civil Service, and Idian Affairs. These committies were seen to be on the Lower Tier compared to women in Naval Affairs, Banking and Currency, Forgien Affairs, and Appropriations Committees, History, Art, Archives 2014. Over the next few decades women started to become more influential figures in politics. Between the years of 1935 and 1954 thirty six women entered Congress. In todays political arena women hold about a quarter of the positions in both the House and
