The poster that caught my attention was poster number eight. What made the poster effective was that it grabs your attention right from the start with this evil looking German with his piercing eyes staring across the water which I assume is the Atlantic Ocean. He alone with his dark skin is scary but then they put a bayonet in his hand and blood on his fingers just to let us know that he has killed and is ready. Liberty is playing on the fears of the citizens who did not go to war and telling them they can fight and beat the Germans by buying a bond that will support the their soldiers who are. Further more the poster is making a racial statement with Hun/German having dark sin. The maker played on the people's fear of the Germans and of the
