prospective memory
remembering to do something in the future eg remembering to make a phonecall
reconstructive memory
tendency to recall or recognition to include ideas or elements that were inferred or related to the original stimulus but were not part of the original stimulus itself
schema
In barletts words- an active orgnisation of past reactions or past experiences, a knowledge structure in memory
proposition
a simple semantic relation between two concepts: a unit of meanning expressing a simple relationship or idea; the representation of the meaning of an entire sentence, including all the relationships among all the words
semantic integration
tendency to store related pieces of info into an integrated, unified representation
technical accuracy
accuracy in recall or recognition that is scored according to verbatim criteria
content accuracy
accuracy in recall, recognition, and so on, based on the content or meaning of the stimulus rather than on the literal or verbatim stimulus that was presented
case grammar
an approach in psycholinguistics in which the meaning of a sentence is determined by analyzing the semantic roles or cases, played different words, such as which names the agent or patient of the action. Other cases include time, location and manner
semantic case
in a case grammar approach, the particular case played by a word or concept is said to be that words semantic case
relation
in case grammar the central idea or relationship being asserted in a sentence or phrase
