stomach pain or cramps
respiration & pulse may be rapid and weak
unconscious & collapse may occur suddenly
first aid for heat cramps
- Monitor the mental status by asking simple questions, date or presidents name
- move casualty to a cool shady area/improvise
- loosen casualties clothing (unless chemical)
- drink 1 canteen cool water slowly
- seek medical aid if cramps continue
- monitor for signs of heat exhaustion

- pour water on and fan
- apply iced sheets (if possible)
- elevate legs
- monitor sx gone med come or for heatstroke

What is the warning for heatstroke?
Heatstroke is a medical emergency that may result in death if treatment is delayed. Start cooling measures immediately and continue while waiting for transportation
What is the first aid for heat stroke
- monitor mental status ask simple questions
- move casualty to shady area (or improvise)
- loosen clothing boots (unless chemical)
- spray or pour water (iced sheets if possible)
- massage the arms and legs
- elevate the legs
- watch for life threatening conditions/injuries/seek medical aid
