    Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest and broadest categories of engineering. I choose it mainly because it seemed to fit my mechanical background. Also it covers such a wide subject area that it would provide plenty of job opportunities after completing my degree. My academic plan is to complete a bachelor degree for mechanic engineering and then continue into a masters for petroleum engineering. I have worked in the oilfield in the past and I find that area of study very interesting.
