To build a stereotype of the APT originator and perpetrator, we need to analyzed the APT motivations. Then, we will analyze their potential victims. Finally use these motivations against the potential victims to describe possible attackers that can use an APT against their victims. APTs share common motivations, but they may have different purposes. The purposes are defined as the tactical advantages they gain to fulfill their objectives. The objectives are defined by the sponsor’s needs for use of an APT. APTs have three motivations, being Military and political the first one. APT motivated by military and political reasons are perpetrated by government-sponsored groups that are directed by official government agencies. They may be part of…
Stereotype: A Threat to Intellectual Identity and Performance According to Claude Steele and Joshua Aronson, one cause of the relatively poor achievement faced by African Americans in school and by women in math and science-related fields is stereotype threat. This theory is based on the assumption that school success results from self-identification with the school and its subdomains which entails sustained motivation. If this relationship isn’t formed or is broken, achievement may suffer.…

After reviewing the theoretical approach, purpose and content of the article, the report will proceed with the descriptive assessment of conclusions presented in the original paper, identifying strengths and weaknesses of the article, providing a conclusion. The theoretical framework of the study can be limited to the…
Stereotype threat is a condition where individuals have a fear of being judge because of a negative stereotype about their racial, ethnic, gender or cultural group. Stereotype threat not only affects disadvantaged groups (Hispanics, blacks, females, etc.) but is also becoming more prevalent among individuals who are considered to be part of high-status groups (White males). Stereotypes will exist in the workplace no matter what, despite hiring non-prejudiced individuals for management positions.…
been treated in the experiment before. This resulted in the applicants that were treated like the blacks in the first experiment to be more nervous and to receive more negative performance ratings than the applicants who were treated like the whites in the first experiment. Another side effect of stereotypes is stereotype threat. Stereotype threat is when an individual is threatened that a negative stereotype will be applied to them or the fear that they will accidentally confirm the stereotype…

This article focuses on studying the relationship between exuberance and persistence that children behave in multiple challenging contexts with different incentive values. Researchers also want to know if the incentive value of goals can play an important role in influencing the behavioral regulation of 109 exuberant pre-schoolers in China. Through several experiments they found that exuberant children tend to be more persistent on a goal-blocked task. This result stimulated researcher’s…
skilled men. This example of a stereotype threat for women shows that if women don’t feel their stereotype is being judged, then they will perform better. This is important for teachers to know, so that they can present their tests in a way that doesn 't make minorities (women in this case) feel as if they are being tested based on their stereotype. The second gender stereotype example that stood out to me was an experiment done…

In regards to stereotype threat, I wonder if there is any concise way to combat the phenomena, or reduce the effects. Specifically, I think that the stereotype threat will not be as effective if individual being targeted is aware or conscious about the phenomenon. This is in comparison to an individual who experiences the threat, without actively knowing about the concept of a stereotype threat. The effect of this particular phenomena essentially stems from the Yerkes-Dodson law, where the…
