The film Maze Runner is a post-apocalyptic dystopian story about a group of teenagers who survived a man-made disease called the flare, and their lives in the glade which is surrounded by a maze full of deadly creatures named Grievers. The gladers have no previous memory except for their names, and their lives have been orderly until the arrival of Thomas and Theresa who are evidently different from the rest. Under Thomas’ leading, some of the gladers successfully escape the maze, only to find it is a planned experiment by an organization named WICKED (Gamarra, Hartwick, Williams, 2014).
