    IKEA is one of the world’s top furniture manufacturing companies. The Swedish company has 381 stores in 47 countries, with more opening. The company designs and sells Scandinavian modern style furniture and accessories. To save money for itself and its customers, the company sells its furniture unassembled in flat packs, and has customers assemble their own furniture at home. IKEA has partnered with WWF, FSC, UNICEF ,and Save the Children, to protect the environment and help victims of poverty and natural disasters. IKEA is a company founded by Ingvar Kamprad, that sells affordable, high-quality furniture, while keeping the environment and unfortunate people in mind. IKEA was founded by Ingvar Feodor Kamprad. Kamprad was born on March 30 1926, on a small farm called Elmtaryd near Agunnaryd, in the Swedish province of Småland. Småland was one of the country’s poorest regions at that time. Kamprad began his career at six, when he bought pencils and matches in bulk, which he then resold to his classmates. When he was just ten, Kamprad went around the neighbourhood selling Christmas decorations, fish ,and pencils. The future entrepreneur set money aside, unlike his peers. At 17, Kamprad was rewarded a small sum of money from his father, who thought that the money would be used on education oriented matters.
