At the beginning of the novel Christopher finds a dead dog and is confronted by the police in these situations Christopher acts differently. Most people react using common sense, but Christopher doesn’t understand the way things are and how people act, Christopher using mathematical expression to understand situations which often doesn’t result in understanding what to do. Christopher way of thinking is different from others and is showed in many different parts of the book some example is when Christopher finds the dead dog and is talking to the police officers, when Christopher’s father tells him the truth about his mother being alive and him killing Wellington, and finally all the different situations that he encounter on his journey to see his mother in London.
